I-70 Montgomery County

In widening seven miles of I-70 in Montgomery County from four lanes to six lanes, Kokosing removed all existing pavement and replaced it with 566,000 cubic yards (cy) of 14-inch doweled plain concrete. An additional 35,000 linear feet of barrier wall was slipformed. More than 240,000 cy of concrete used on the pavement and barrier wall were produced by Kokosing from one of its Erie Strayer portable concrete plants.

Kokosing also widened all the bridges on the $62.3-million project.
