Franklin County I-71 Noisewall

In self-performing more than $8.5-million of design/build noisewall, Kokosing constructed 5.4 miles of pre-cast post and panel noisewall installed on drilled shaft foundations. Utilizing its track hoe-mounted Watson Drill, Kokosing self performed the installation of 12,750 linear feet of 30-inch diameter foundations, as well as more than 1,200 posts and 360,000 square feet of pre-cast noisewall panels.

On three bridges within the project, located on Columbus’ north side, Kokosing installed clear, acrylic noisewall panels to minimize loading on the bridge structures and allow views of area landscape.
