Hoakalei Phase 1 & 2

In a $7.9-million shore-erosion protection project, Durocher Marine excavated about 40,000 cubic yards of coral rock from the shores of Oahu, Hawaii, before strengthening the sensitive ecosystem with a nearly 3,000-foot-long erosion control revetment. The revetment called for the placement of 100,000 tons of bedding, under-layer and armor stone – some reaching 10 tons in size.
