Butler County Regional Highway

On this 10.5-mile-long ODOT project to construct four new lanes of highway, Kokosing performed more than 4-million yards of mass grading and earthwork; 600,000 tons of asphalt work; and constructed 18 bridges.

Kokosing expedited the project through careful planning, scheduling and self-performing of the work to earn $3.8 million of a maximum $4-million incentive for early completion of this $98-million project.

At the time, this was the largest ODOT project ever constructed.
