Lower Scioto Water Reclamation Facility
The project includes the design and construction of a new 1.4 MGD wastewater treatment facility. This greenfield site project will provide sanitary sewer sevice for a developing area in Delaware County, Ohio. The project consists of approximately 153,000 cubic yards of earthwork, 41,000 tons of rock blasting and excavation, 7,700 cubic yards of cast-in-place concrete and 23,000 linear feet of buried piping. Concrete work includes large mass concrete pours that have drawn from the experience of our concrete department. Rock blasting and excavation included a structure with a depth in excess of 65’ in solid limestone bedrock. Major structures include a Raw Pump Station/Solids Building, Pretreatment Building, Aeration/Clarifiers, Post Treatment Building, Process Pump Station, Aerobic Digesters and an Administration Building. The design of the facility includes attractive architecture on the buildings, landscaping, mounding, and other features to help blend the facility into the surrounding neighborhood.
