Olen Corp Facility Improvements

As part of Olen Corporation’s extensive facility improvements program, Kokosing provided design, fabrication and construction work at three of the company’s aggregate plants.

At Olen’s Upper Sandusky Limestone Plant, which produces up to 400 tons/hour of aggregate, and Fredericktown Sand & Gravel Plant, a 350 tons/hour facility, Kokosing performed similar tasks. It designed, fabricated and constructed the plants’ foundations, conveyors, crushers, screen towers, sand screws, radial stackers, electrical power and process water facilities. At the Federicktown plant, Kokosing also provided the design, fabrication and construction of the facility’s sand tanks and control tower as well as the civil design, site drainage and silt ponds. Kokosing implemented hot dipping and galvanizing procedures on the structural steel and conveyor trusses at both facilities to ensure low-maintenance costs and long service.

At Olen’s Wooster Sand & Gravel Plant, Kokosing performed similar work as well as provided civil design, site drainage and plant layout.
