INDOT I-465 Noisewall

Kokosing is installing 13,000 linear feet (lf), totaling 203,000 square feet, of pre-cast noisewall along Interstate 465 on the east side of Indianapolis.

On the $6.4-million project, Kokosing is self-performing the both the foundation drilling and erection of the noisewall. The foundation work includes the drilling of 14,000 lf of 24-inch diameter shafts and installation of 900 galvanized H-piles – placed in concrete – for noisewall support.

The project, the company’s first with the Indiana Department of Transportation, also calls for the construction of two bridge-mounted noisewalls, which Kokosing is also self-performing.
