Clintonville Main Sewer Rehabilitation
The sewer rehabilitation project ran parallel to the Olentangy River. The mainline sewer project was 13,000 lf long , in back yards, under homes , as an elevated sewer at two locations and in the street in many neighborhoods from Broad Meadows Boulevard on the north to Orchard Lane on the south.
This $2.95 million project originally installed in 1923 included 2646 lf of 24” diameter sewer, 7137 lf of 30” diameter sewer, and 3163 lf of 36” diameter sewer rehabilitated by using the CIPP method. Laterals to 200 homes and businesses were reestablished and 55 manholes were rehabilitated. Kokosing installed 12,000 lf of 12” pipe from Weisheimer Road south through Whetstone Park of Roses to Orchard Lane to temporarily carry the flow while completing the work.
This project was a high visibility project to the residents of Clintonville. They, along with representatives for the Whetstone Park of Roses teamed up with Kokosing's Utility Division to complete this difficult project with very little disturbance.
