Easterly Wastewater Treatment Plant

Over roughly a three-year period, Kokosing performed $15.8-million of work on four projects for the Easterly Wastewater Treatment Plant facility. In the successful rehabilitation of the plant’s Final Clarifiers 2 & 3, Aeration Piping and Effluent Screw Pump Rehabilitation systems, Kokosing provided:
• New chain and flights in 12 primary clarifiers
• Drive and weir replacement, concrete coating and painting on eight 112-foot diameter final clarifiers
• Actuator replacement on 20 sluice gates
• Replacement of all the plant’s channel-aeration piping, diffusers and valves
• Drive replacement and painting on eight detritor tanks
• Rehabilitation and replacement work on five, 10 ½-foot diameter, 40-foot-long effluent screw pumps – which included repainting, re-grouting, upper and lower bearing and drive and motor replacement
