McGraw/Kokosing, Inc. a regional heavy industrial contractor is seeking a Safety Manager to direct, lead and supervise its policies, programs and procedures. A successful candidate will have 5 to 10 years of Safety experience, a degree in Safety Management or related field, strong interpersonal skills and a hands-on approach to safety management and the ability to lead and train others (with appropriate certifications). Some travel will be required and expected. Must possess strong computer skills with experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the use of technology is a must.

The Safety Manager will report directly to the Senior Vice President.
The successful Candidate duties will include (but not be limited to):
Taking a leadership role in establishing and communicating M/K’s safety related expectations.
Challenge operations and methods for continuous improvement in our safety performance.
Maintain and monitor our Safety Plan, taking appropriate action to correct deficiencies and issues.
Oversee investigation of all injuries, accidents and near misses.
Ensure compliance with federal and state OSHA regulations.
Ensure that all safety related documents are managed and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Travel to job sites to monitor safety programs and conduct safety audits.
Schedule and oversee all safety related training and maintain a data base of required training and certifications for all employees.
