Kokosing's Commitment to
Safety
Kokosing's commitment to safety can be divided into four distinct
segments. These include:
-
Management commitment
-
Employee education
-
Proper safety equipment
-
Accountability
Many
companies say their management is committed to safety, however, Kokosing
management is not just committed, we shirtsleeve manage the safety
process. We know the safety rules and are involved in making changes to
improve the health and safety of our employees.
Kokosing ensures that all foremen, superintendents, engineers, and
managers receive continued safety education and training to stay current
on recent standards and practices. Without question, Kokosing employees
are supplied with the equipment needed to perform their jobs safely.
Once employees are trained and provided the safety equipment required,
Kokosing requires those employees to be accountable for their own safety
and the safety of the employees working around them.
Various 'Safety Recognition' incentive programs are in place for employees
to be rewarded to following safety procedures. Hourly employees can
earn "safety points" to purchase incentive items. This program is
described in detail by clicking on the 'Safety Recognition' link button in
the link bar.
