Water Resources Warsaw, IN Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements

Kokosing self-performed 85% of the project which included: grit removal tanks, primary clarifiers and control buildings, 60-foot anaerobic selector tanks, final clarifier and sludge pump building, RAS and WAS pumps, a UV disinfection system, and sludge dewatering equipment. Kokosing’s scope of work also include modifying/upgrading the following existing assets: oxidation ditches; final clarifiers; anaerobic digesters and sludge holding tanks; relation of energy power generation; electrical I&C; HVAC and site work.

In addition to providing process redundancy allowing O&M staff to maintain process flows during routine maintenance for this growing community, Kokosing completed upgrades to introduce anaerobic sludge digestion to convert methane gas into a reliable power source; thereby, reducing the City of Warsaw’s reliance on third party energy providers.
