Corman Construction and Corman Marine Construction Joins Kokosing Family of Companies

By

The combined assets of Corman Construction and Corman Marine Construction have been purchased by the Burgett Family. Corman joins the Kokosing Family of Companies.

Corman, also a family business, is known for its great reputation in the heavy civil and marine construction sectors across the East Coast since 1920. The sale provides Corman with opportunities to diversify into additional markets and increase bonding capacity.

The acquisition bolsters Kokosing’s already packed resume in the industrial, transportation, buildings, pipelines and marine sectors and extends Kokosing’s reach into the Mid-Atlantic.

“Corman and Kokosing share similar core values. We have a deep commitment to our people, safety and quality and a desire to take on challenging and rewarding projects that are built on time and on budget. It was an obvious fit from the beginning,” says Brian Burgett, President & CEO of Kokosing, Inc.

Chase Cox, 4th generation member of the Cox family remains as Corman’s president. “We are excited to join the Kokosing family and for the opportunities this brings to both our team members and our customers. Corman will continue to build on the 98 years of goodwill that we have established.”

Now at 3,500 team members, Kokosing will continue to be a leader in the construction industry and looks forward to a future of continued growth and success.
