Our commitment to Safety First goes beyond compliance to bring focus to the act of caring for the well-being of each team member. As part of our daily planning, the use of the Morning Action Plan (MAP) ensures that every workday starts with a plan that identifies tasks and potential hazards. Crucially, the “ReMAP” process for changing work activities ensures continuous, real-time safety and operational planning, adapting immediately to evolving job site conditions. SAFETY IS PERSONAL Safety is a shared responsibility with leadership setting an example and every team member acting as a safety leader for themselves, their families, and their teammates. Each team member has the responsibility and authority to stop unsafe operations or at-risk behaviors. Beyond daily planning as a group, each team member is expected to have a plan before they start a task that answers: What am I about to do? What are my hazards? What do I have to do to work injury and incident free? LEARNING, DEVELOPMENT, AND LEADERSHIP At Kokosing, we believe working incident-free requires the right knowledge, skill, and ability. Our training programs are designed to meet specific regulatory standards (e.g., Qualified, Competent, and Authorized Person levels) and strengthen personal safety as part of our unwavering commitment to continual learning and development.
