Heavy Civil Hap Cremean Water Treatment Plant Intake Structure and Low Head Dam Rehabilitation

INSIDE THE PROJECT

To complete the rehabilitation, Kokosing’s work sequence had to consider occupying spaces
adjacent to active water treatment clarifier structures. This work also includes the replacement of
slides gates within the basins of the plant, and the installation of basin lighting. Concrete walls
and surfaces found to be damaged, underwent repair, not limited to:

  • Partial wall replacement
  • Top slab replacement
  • Shallow and deep concrete patching
  • Epoxy injection of joints and cracks
  • Caulking and sealant replacement

Structures supporting overhead electrical conduit were also identified for removal and
replacement as part of the overall contract. Kokosing constructed temporary supporting
structures for overhead electrical conduit in order to maintain service for the duration of the
project.

WHY IT MATTERS
