Site/Civil SR 266 REALIGNMENT

INSIDE THE PROJECT

This project involves the realignment of 1.6-miles of 2-lane SR 266 in Morgan County, Ohio, to move the state route away from the Muskingum River.

The existing roadway was prone to multiple slides requiring numerous repairs over the years. The realignment work includes mass excavation of approximately 1.7-million-cubic-yards of excavation of dirt and rock, installation of 320-feet-long combination secant/soldier pile and lagging retaining wall, paving of approximately 18,000-tons of new asphalt pavement, construction of a new concrete slab bridge, and installation of new drainage and erosion control features.
